We see the emerging opportunity to ‘snackify’ beverages and ‘drinkify’ snacks as the next frontier in food and beverage convenience.
This is pretty sick though. We are moving ever closer to the society envisioned by WALL-E. Liquified food. Dumb, fat humans marching towards our extinction with a 40 oz. Slurpee and a straw. Terrific.

This is all part of our stockholder enslavement. Food companies need to grow. And they’re genius marketers. So of course our waistlines will grow in parallel with food company revenues. For the sake of our health, we must consciously fight a consumption-obsessed environment so heavily armed against us. Conscientiousness is the new black.

“I’ve always thought of wearing glasses as a problematic but necessary nuisance, what with my terrible eyesight and all. But in retrospect they seem to serve a subtler purpose: to hide my eyes from the gaze of others so that none may look into them and betray my true feelings.”
–Based on my own observations after researching on how the eyes work in connection with feelings and sentiments, I’ve discovered that the whole “the eyes are the windows to the soul” thing may actually have some merit. Thankfully my thick glasses obscure the light that shines on my eyes and hides them with a veil of glare, which makes lying to people I don’t like much easier. That and I really don’t like the feeling of being “exposed”, especially when it comes to the feelings I consciously try to hide.

–One way is when at the height of your arrogance you are dealt a blow to your person that humbles you and sends you crashing down into a smoldering crater. There is a lasting and destructive effect on the spirit when one is deliberately shot down from their flight of hubris.

Whenever you’re in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it. That factor is attitude.

This is Millicent Gaika. She is a 30-year-old South African woman who was tied up, beaten, strangled, tortured and raped for five hours.
Why was she battered and rape? She is victim of a practice called corrective rape, a term that describes the process of men raping women who claim to be lesbians until they have been turned straight. Such a practice is particularly popular in South Africa, and of course, homosexuality cannot be ‘cured,’ and Millicent is not the first woman who was victimized. The most vicious form of torture a woman can experience in South Africa for being a lesbian is having her genitals mutliated by sharp objects. 24 out of 25 men who are accused of doing such crimes walk free. More than 500 corrective rapes are reported each year, and more than 30 South African lesbians have been murdered because of their sexuality over the past decade.
There is a petition that is aiming to expose these crimes in South Africa. The mission is to get police to be more responsive to the corrective rapes and charge reasonable fines to the men performing these rapes. Sign the petition here. It only takes a name and an address. That’s all. Please sign it.
